Who Owns the U.S.?
What was that again the same: if a company holds a majority stake in another company, then this company is the first company . Does it matter whether this happens by using shares (Porsche and VW) or any other accounting type (the savings are municipalities, the regional banks are the countries, but there are no shares)? No, I think it does not matter how the liability side (and borrowing) looks exactly the balance sheet.
you can now drag a analogy to government , which are nothing more than part of the passive side of a state record? I think so.
Who owns Iceland then? The IMF? I find the process that has taken place in this country very remarkable. One country has in relation to its gross domestic product and its total economic capacity too large banks. They are bankrupt, are nationalized. Finally, the state insolvent (can not use its government bonds) and is rescued by the IMF. Exactly the same analogy can happen to any country. And who then owns the land? Maybe the person that owns a majority government bonds?
Who owns the land then USA?
How expensive is it to buy shares in a company? Answer: the more expensive the better the company is doing. Conversely, the yield higher, the worse the company is doing. At that point, the yields on government bonds and their changes are interesting. Maybe get the public with no idea which political influence is result for a country when they offer investors higher returns always has. And the large U.S. is that kind of political participation of investors are not sure.
